Euneirophrenia is an album of 9 very different tracks. 9 different facets of Simon Dobson’s particular personality, his palette is wide and draws on his personal history as a composer of brass bands, his experience of making hip hop, funk, jazz, punk rock, as well as his broader love of music as a whole – there is a nod to DnB, a cappella and chamber pop.

It is important to focus on the guest spots on this album. It is a solo record created by a composer and its ambition from the outset was very high. To fully realise it Simon drew on a vast array of hugely talented musicians including:

• Famed Austrian trumpeter Thomas Gansch
• The GUS Band
• Trumpeter Malcolm Strachan (Jamiroquai)
• James Fountain, (Youngest ever principal trumpet of the Royal Philharmonic orchestra)

The musicianship overall is absolutely superb, you will find a full list of contributors on the back of the poster, as well as the studio engineers and everyone else that came together over the (insert) years it took to produce this record.
