HorrorShow (score only)

£35.00

Originally composed for Florent Didier and the Paris Brass Band for the European Brass Band Championships in 2017 this work is a serious essay on the horrors of terrorism in modern society. The work focuses on the events at the Bataclan in Paris in November 2015 and is a tribute to those lost.

The work is in three joined movements and moves through rock music to eastern European dances and even into aleatoric music all to tell the story of the fear felt in Paris at that time. Every section is featured and the music is a challenge to all. It is angular and angry, but approachable whilst showing something og the dark nature of humanity, the last movement however is lift to the future and the hope that there is good in people.
