Devil Theory

Devil Theory is a phrase meaning “political and social crises arise from the deliberate actions of evil or misguided leaders rather than as a natural result of conditions.”

Written as a wry commentary on the state of world politics this piece was originally composed for Euphonium players Fabian Bloch and Gilles Rocha. The work is an angular, dissonant and funky ride through sarcasm and cynicism.

The work is aimed at virtuoso euphonium/baritone players, but would serve as a great challenge for any aspiring student.
